The Bookmark Postcard

This postcard comes from Canada.  It’s pretty cool because if you chop it in half, it becomes two bookmarks.  On the back of each one is a quote (trust me on this, I forgot to scan it).  I like the postcard too much to cut it in half, but I really like the idea.

Rainbow Bath

This awesome card comes from a woman located in Finland.  It’s even brighter than the picture in reality.  I have to say, this is one of my favorite postcards to date.  When I buy my own house, I will decorate my bathroom this way.

The Perfect Green

This gorgeous card comes from a woman all the way in Taiwan.  When I think of what Heaven must look like, this pretty much sums it up.  I would love to just sit by the water with a book–ugh, it’s almost torture to be in front of a computer when I could be searching for this exact spot.

The Dress I Wish I Owned

This postcard comes from a lovely woman in Indiana.  I would adore owning a dress like this one (yes, for swing dancing).  Let’s all be honest though–if I ever owned something that looked like the dress in the postcard, I’d spend most of my time recreating this pose to see who recognized it.

Cherry Trees

Here’s a gorgeous postcard sent to me by my good friend Zoe.  Talk about beautiful–these are my favorite trees.  When I was born, my grandfather helped plant a cherry tree in front of my house.  For a long time, it bloomed before any other tree, and made me happier than a clam in sauce.  Around the time I entered high school, it started to die on one side, so my mom decided to cut it down.  It’s not the same, but I taped this postcard to my window.  Now I get to see blossoms all year!

Also: Zoe drew a teeny TARDIS next to the tree.  You can only see it if you own a sonic screwdriver (which I do, of course).

Peaceful Country Abbey

Paul from Ohio sent me this postcard of an abbey he spends time in during lent.  He assures me it is the most peaceful place you can imagine–it certainly looks that way from the card.  Looking at it almost makes me feel like I’m looking at a time far before 2011.

Boys From France

This one comes from my awesome pen pal Erin, who is teaching young children in France.  She says the two boys in the postcard look exactly like two from her class.  The kid in the back has the best expression on his face.  So adorable!

Postcard Fan

This awesome-shaped postcard comes from a woman named Yang in Taiwan.  You can’t see it from the picture, but there are amazingly beautiful stamps on the other side, which is also in color.  I especially like that it’s not the typical rectangle shape.  What a great postcard!
