John Green
John Green is one of my favorite humans in the world. He isn’t writing books fast enough, so after reading An Abundance of Katherines, I decided to space out his other books so I don’t place myself in a Harry Potter situation. I thought (the poll thought) it was about time for me to read it.
The beginning was pretty slow, but one thing this book does exceptionally well is provide us with a set of characters we absolutely ADORE and wish were real enough for us to friend on facebook. From the moment we meet Pudge and the Colonel, it’s love at first read. They have problems we’ve had and between them exists a friendship so pure and so simple that it fills us with longing for the people in our life who we have that kind of relationships with. Or perhaps some of us have never had that kind of relationship and are filled with a different kind of longing completely.
There is the potential for massive spoilers in regards to this book, so all I will say is that the characters will capture your heart and keep you reading until the very end. I highly recommend this one–go get it!
