30 Days of Night: Dark Days (Volume Two)

This volume picks up a few months after the events of volume one.  It follows the actions of Eben’s wife Stella (the female police officer from Barrow) as she works to avenge her husband’s death by exposing the vampires.  The story ends with a pretty big cliffhanger, which makes waiting for the third volume pretty hard to do.

The art is the same for the most part, though it seems to have gotten a bit more clear as to what is going on.  Either the art has changed, or I’m getting used to it.  I’m not quite sure which it is in this case, but I can say I liked the art a lot more here than in the first installment.  Finally, we meet a new character that I loved, so I hope he returns.  I’ll be pretty disappointed if he only makes one appearance.

All in all, I liked this volume more than the last one.  The story was more interesting, as were the characters–and the plot sets up an exciting third volume.  Get reading!
