Flight: Volume Four

Flight: Volume Four

Kazu Kibuishi

After reading the last volume, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one.  It starts off with a continuation of the last volume’s first story–which I thought was a great way to show that even though these volumes are separate entities, they’re still connected together as one series.

I adored this volume as much as the last one.  Many of the stories moved me and made me think about parts of my life and personality I’d normally rather ignore.  One story in particular, about a girl who gets trapped in a magic box, really made me think about what it means to be alone, happy and alive.  I had to pause at the end to think about what those things meant to me specifically.

I’d highly recommend reading this volume.  It was great and I adored almost every story.  Any I didn’t love were mediocre, but there were none I disliked!  I am dying for the next one!

  1. I sent you a postcard few weeks ago and had a look around here today. This description makes me so want to read this book. So I looked it up on amazon. Unluckily, it’s pretty expensive and of course I’m going to need all volumes 🙂 Luckily, my birthday’s coming soon 🙂
